The holiday season is upon us and who doesn’t love all of the yummy Christmas cookies and sweet treats that come with it? Right now, I’m on the Keto diet but I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist all of the delicious goodies that everyone else will be enjoying around me.

We just got tons of candy on Halloween and my 5 year old, who loves to share with mommy, is trying really hard to get me to cheat.

He keeps offering me all the candies he knows I like. When I say “no, thank you, honey. Mommy’s on a diet.” he puts on the saddest face and says “Just one, mommy?”. How can I say no to that? I’m weak for that little face! I just take it and tell him that I’ll eat it later. I currently have a collection of candy in my drawer that I can only look at.

Next month, I’ll be baking some of the goodies on this 25 days of Christmas cookies roundup. Of course, I’ll have to do a bit of taste testing, so there goes my diet. I mean, what can I say? A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do. Until that time comes, though, I’ll just steer away from sweets.
